In the spirit of the season, the staff at ELGHS believe it is important for the students to give back to the community as volunteering enables students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as help those who need it most.  Because of this, during the morning of Friday, December 20th (in place of our academic classes) the high school students will participate in various community service projects throughout the county accompanied by high school staff members.  Examples of activities students will be involved in are:  Humane Society, AGES (Amazing Grace Equestrian Sanctuary), Salvation Army Bell Ringers, Sharon Richardson Resale Shop, Neat Repeats, St. Vincent de Paul, Rocky Knoll, Jazz Band Performances, Project Angel Hugs/Meals on Wheels decorating, Cedar Landing Bingo and Gift Wrapping, Clean up around Elkhart Lake,  and/or June Vollrath Park (Ice Rink assembly).  For participating in one of the activities, students will receive 2 hours of Community Service, of which counts toward the 20 hours of required service required for graduation.  We would like to to THANK all the business for allowing the high school students to come and be part of their day!  Please stay tuned for more information!!
