The 2020-2021 school year begins my 25th year of teaching at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Middle School. Although I am considered a veteran teacher, our world's current health situation has me feeling like a brand-new teacher again. Looking at the positive aspect of our situation, it has allowed me to find new ways of teaching and learning. Since these times are trying on each of us in our own ways, I try to allow myself and other lots of patience and grace as we continue in these unprecedented times. A perfect reminder: Aim for progress, not perfection! We will all learn and grow from our mistakes.
I teach/advise the following: 8th Grade Language Arts/ Literature, 8th Grade College Preparatory Mathematics, 7th and 8th Grade Exploratory Spanish, JK/K Spanish Amigos Teacher, SASIE Coordinator, Washington, DC Trip Coordinator--2014 and 2020, Middle School Cheerleading Coach and 8th Grade Recognition Night Advisor. I graduated from Lakeland College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Minor in Spanish. I earned a Masters Degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from Cardinal Stritch University in 2006. I also live in Elkhart Lake with my husband Todd, and our two children, Kylie and Cole.
