I have been a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School since January of 2010.  Prior to teaching, I was a Customer Service Representative, Marketing Administrative Manager and owned my own business.  I bring all of my past experiences into the classroom to help prepare my students for their personal and professional lives as an adult.  My students are able to earn the Lakeshore Technical College Customer Service Certificate, National Restaurant Association ProStart and ServSafe Certificates, and the WI Department of Workforce Development Youth Apprenticeship Certificate through the various classes offered in the Family and Consumer Sciences Program. Students also participate in the H and R Block Budget Challenge, Junior Achievement Finance Park and Junior Achievement Business Challenge within my classes.  Leadership and Professionalism, Customer Service Techniques and Culinary Arts 2 -5 are college credit, either advanced standing or transcripted credit, through Lakeshore Technical College. Though students are not required to join FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America), a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), many of the facets and offerings of FCCLA are incorporated into my classroom.  I look forward to an exciting, fun, and growth - centered year!
