Veteran's Day observance ceremonies at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School were held Friday, November 10th at the 11th hour. Local veterans of the Armed Forces were invited to attend. The band played selected patriotic arrangements and the choir sang motivational selections. Local retired veteran Major Matthew Waage was the featured speaker. He spoke to the audience on the importance of Veteran's Day in our country's history and fulfilling each one's own potential that was made possible by veteran's sacrifices. After the conclusion of the event, students were able to meet and shake hands with the service members. The veterans were also treated to a lunch prepared by the culinary classes at ELGHS.
